I have great respect & admiration for the older women of my church that seem so “hospitable”. Our house is usually the gathering place for our circle of friends, but rarely do I extend the hospitality outside that circle. Not for lack of desire, more so I just get busy & it slips my mind. After reading Large Family Logistics I decided to attempt to use her Hospitality Calendar. I took her suggestions & added one to each month in my monthly calendar. Here are my Hospitality Goals:
- Oct – invite a visitor from church
- Nov – have Tim invite a friend over at the spur-of-the-moment
- Dec – have the house always ready for visitors, prepare a craft day for gifts, & a Christmas party for the kids
- Jan – invite another homeschool family over
- Feb – special dinner for our best friends
- March – tea party for my girlfriends (& their daughters)
- April – invite a family we want to get to know better
- May – invite an older couple over
- June – invite old friends or family
- July – outside party
- Aug – back to school party
- Sept – invite a youth from church
