Homeschooling

Homeschooling is a way of life for our family. When we first decided to homeschool it was just going to be for a year - this is our fifth year of homeschooling!  Each year we continue down this journey we discover more reasons why we joined the relm of the "weird & unsocialized."  I've learned that there is no right or wrong way to homeschool.  There is a season for everything & homeschooling has it's season.  What worked one year, may not work the next, what works for one of my outlaws, may not work for another, what works for me may not work for them.  We have created wonderful memories as a family & powered thru some rough waters together.

We fall somewhere between a Charlotte Mason & Classical approach with a few eclectic things here & there. Each of my children are different types of learners. I have one that just can't get enough & is constantly wanting to know why, how & more. I have another that has a "good enough" philosophy and needs the extra push. We are by no means relaxed; however, I do believe that there is much to learn outside the books in every day life. It is our goal to educate our children in the Lord, for them to have knowledge and understanding of His magnificent creation, to be well rounded, educated children that follow the path the Lord has set before them.
